In case you haven’t noticed I am very pale. ‘Deathly pale’ some might/do say. It’s not a look I’ve deliberately cultivated but it’s certainly not going to change soon. This photo is testament to the fact this has always been the case. On Tailor of Panama I was required to look like I had lived in Central America my whole life. This was no mean feat for our Make Up department. They tried to use fake tan on me and, for whatever reason, it didn’t take. My pale skin was having none of it. So in the end they decided they would have to cover me, from head to toe, with tan make up each morning. This picture is the result. The tissues are in place to stop the make up getting on the costume - it wasn’t a fashion choice. -Dan
Throwback Thursday: “So I’m going to post a previously unseen photo from my life here every so often. This is an example that could look like child cruelty but was actually one of the funniest memories from my first job! On David Copperfield when I was 10, I had been running round one day during the summer spraying various crew members with a water pistol I had, unwisely, been given. This is a photo of me playfully getting what I deserved…” -Dan
